Title Micro Small Medium Enterprise Officer, Seaqaqa
Description PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assessment of Online/Manual Application Under Micro Finance Category • Ensure timeliness, integrity and accuracy of initial advice, relevant searches and source documents are acquired for any applications as dictated by Bank Policies and Procedures. • Key in relevant details on BMS platform immediately on payment of correct application fees or as per policy. • Assist and advise applicant where required with the relevant documents as per the policy. • Properly register and file all enquiry’s received (regardless of accepted/discourage status) for future reference. 2. Appraisal & Approval • Provide on first instance all relevant, accurate and complete documentation in terms of equities, projections, searches, interest rates and other requirements to ensure timely quality assessments/appraisals. • Ensure application submissions for appraisal and approval are aligned to Bank’s Policies and Procedures, environmental sustainability, statutory requirements, and economic growth. • Work proactively with relevant parties and effectively manage required tasks to ensure loan decisions are formalized within TAT. • Ensure loan letters prepared are aligned with the decision made. • Key in all relevant and accurate BMS details immediately upon approval (interest, repayment, Flags, SME details, CRR, approval date and officer). 3. Documentation & Disbursement • Liaise with relevant stakeholders on validation, stamping and registration of source/security documents/searches, submit same to legal for appropriate action. • Enforce the timely and proper preparation, execution, final check of relevant documentation and BMS update where applicable as per Bank Policy by relevant parties. • Ensure full compliance to pre disbursement conditions and make recommendation for disbursement within appropriate discretionary authority. 4. Monitoring & Supervision • Ensure appropriate advice and technical assistance is provided to borrower where needed should problems arise throughout the physical development of the project. • Prioritize and plan supervision of accounts in order to direct a higher level of close inspection to those accounts or projects whose performance deviates from the anticipated path. • Ensure securities are revalued, renewed, and verified where applicable, related fees are collected, security discharges are enacted and BMS entries are completed as required on a timely and periodical basis in collaboration with relevant parties. • Ensure that insurance for all assets under loan security are provided for at market value during the currency of the loan and timely attendance to requests and advice from relevant parties. • Ensure loan accounts are reviewed and reported as per policy, identify appropriate action for early warning signal for movement of accounts based on grades and provide recommendation for existence of project i.e., to restructure or rehabilitate. 5. Recovery • Monitor and measure all loans prudently and implement vigilant arrears follow-up on repayments, reviews, rescheduling, BMS amendments and documentation. • Undertake regular review of loan accounts under Non-Performing Loans (NPL) and take corrective measures to upgrade accounts as per policy. • Ensure all possible avenues are exhausted in timely and efficient manner regarding the recovery procedure before downgrading.
Qualification A Diploma in Banking/Accounting/Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience Two (2) Years relevant work experience in a similar environment particularly in Commerce, Banking or Agriculture and holds a valid driver’s license (automatic & manual)
