Manager Events/Marketing/Communications & Customer Advocate

Description
|
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Marketing Strategy and Planning
a) Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to promote Bank products and services to target customers.
b) Collaborate with Manager Policy & Product and Relationship & Sales team to align marketing initiatives with banks objectives and sales targets.
c) Support lending centres business growth through development/editing of innovative financial solutions, services and appropriate marketing collateral material.
d) Manage and implement the Bank's overall Business Development activities by making connections to increase revenue, growth, profitability by building strategic partnerships and making business decisions in synergy with internal and external stakeholders.
e) Formulates and manages the marketing budget including sponsorship and donations.
2. Brand Management
a) Develop and maintain the Banks’ brand identity, including logos, visual assets, and brand guidelines.
b) Ensure Brand consistency across all marketing channels and communication materials, including advertising, collateral, and digital platforms.
c) Implement branding initiative to enhance brand awareness and differentiate the bank form competitors.
d) Overseeing outside vendors and agencies who produce marketing materials or provide marketing support such as through agencies, print vendors, etc within the approved budget requirement.
3. Product Promotion and Campaign Management
a) Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote banking products such as loans, mortgages, saving accounts, and investment services.
b) Develop targeted messaging and promotion materials to communicate product features, benefits, and value proposition to customers.
c) Monitor campaign performance and analyse key metrics to measures effectiveness and optimize marketing strategies for maximum impact.
4. Digital Marketing & Social Media Management
a) Manage digital marketing channels, including the banks’ website, general enquiries email, social media, and online advertising campaigns.
b) Develop engaging content for social media platforms and monitor social media channels to respond to customers inquiries and feedback.
5. Public Relations and Media Relations
a) Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage for the Bank.
b) Final vetting press releases, media pitches and other communication materials to communicate key messages, announcements, and initiatives in from CEO office.
c) Coordinate media interviews and press conferences to enhance the Banks’ visibility and reputations in the market.
d) Address media queries and public concerns in liaison with the CEO.
e) Monitor press stories relating to the Bank and its brand and maximizing opportunities for positive PR and playing down any negative PR.
f) Cover customer success stories.
g) Design and recommend corporate social responsibilities initiatives and aligning to the Banks’ strategic mandate.
h) Represent the Bank on Talk shows on behalf of Chief Executive Officer.
6. Events
a) Develop and execute comprehensive event marketing plans that align with company goals and objectives.
b) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events, including logistics, content, and promotions.
c) Manage event budgets and track ROI to ensure maximum impact and efficiency.
d) Identify and secure strategic partnerships and sponsorships to enhance event experiences and drive revenue.
e) Create compelling event messaging and content that resonates with target audiences and drives attendance.
f) Leverage social media and other digital channels to promote events and engage with attendees.
g) Conduct post-event analysis and provide recommendations for future improvements and optimizations.
h) Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event marketing strategies.
i) Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and internal teams.
j) Manage and mentor a team of event marketing professionals to ensure high-quality execution and professional development.
7. Internal /External Communications
a) Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employee informed about marketing initiatives, new product launch etc.
b) Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
c) Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including ExCo, R&S, Risk, F&A and T&OD teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
d) Foster a culture of communication and collaboration within the organisation through effective internal communication practices.
e) Engage with internal and external stakeholders to grow the Bank’s business.
8. Customer Advocate
a) Custodians of websites such as (FDB Knowledge Management portal, Banks’ Social Media page & FDB Complaints portal) are updated and queries are answered in a timely manner.
b) Responsible for the review, implementation, and adherence to the Policy.
c) Ensure that Social Media Planner are prepared in timely manner.
d) Reviewing key customer themes to identify thematic opportunities to enhance products, services, systems, and processes within the bank.
e) Helping to facilitate better decision-making and fairer outcomes for customers using insights and perspectives, including those sought from the community. This may involve assisting the bank to better understand customers’ diverse perspectives, and the impact of decisions on customers.

Qualification
|
At least a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field. Postgraduate qualifications would be an advantage.
|
Experience
|
Proven track record of success in Marketing, Business Development, Sales & Banking with at least 12 years’ combined experience.
Knowledge of Banking products and services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have an understanding on how to leverage technology as a competitive advantage tool.
The incumbent must reflect maturity, be able to lead a team to success, and possess good negotiation & relationship building/networking skills.
Ability to manage complex projects with little to no supervision.
Highly organized and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Confident, driven and dynamic leader.
Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset with the ability to spot original branding & business growth opportunities.
