PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Market and Sectoral Research
a) Conduct in-depth research and analysis on specific markets, sectors, and competitive landscapes relevant to the organization.
b) Support the team in identifing emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in target sectors to inform strategic planning.
c) Benchmark against industry standards and best practices to assess the organization’s position in the market.
2. Data Analysis, Reporting, and Recommendations
a) Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software and tools e.g. Excel.
b) Support the team in interpreting and reporting on research findings, preparing detailed reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
c) Provide actionable recommendations based on analysis to improve organizational performance, products, and market positioning.
3. Product, Policy, and Procedure Design
a) Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist with the design of products, policies, and procedures that respond to identified market needs and customer feedback.
b) Support the development and enhancement of products by incorporating research insights and user needs.
c) Assist in drafting policy proposals and procedural guidelines based on research findings to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
4. Research Design and Implementation
a) Develop research methodologies, questionnaires, and tools for data collection.
b) Conduct primary and secondary research on topics of strategic importance to the organization.
c) Assist in data collection processes, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews, ensuring adherence to ethical research standards
5. Customer Surveys & Relationship Effectiveness:
a) Conduct customer surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of relationships between the Bank’s Relationship and Sales team and its customers.
b) Assist in analyzing the findings and provide recommendations to enhance the Bank’s customer service and improve overall satisfaction levels
6. Government Initiative Programs Reporting:
a) Compile, analyze, and disseminate updates on government initiative programs on a quarterly basis to relevant stakeholders.
b) Ensure that updates include insights on program impacts and any opportunities relevant to the organization.
7. National Budget Analysis:
a) Provide a comprehensive annual national budget summary to determine the Bank’s fund allocations.
b) Highlight areas of opportunity for the Bank, identifying potential growth areas based on the national budget allocations
8. National Development Plan Analysis:
a) Analyze the government’s national development plan and identify key areas where the Bank can explore opportunities for growth and expansion.
b) Prepare reports that highlight these opportunities for internal consideration.
9. Special Projects & Ad-hoc Work:
a) Perform a variety of special projects as needed and respond to ad-hoc requests.
b) Ensure flexibility and adaptability in handling projects and other assigned tasks that contribute to the overall objectives of the Bank
10. Delivering Accurate Information:
a) Ensure that all requests for information are thoroughly discussed with the customer at the outset.
b) Clarify the scope and requirements of the information to ensure that the quality meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
c) Maintain open communication with the customer throughout the research process to address any clarifications or adjustments promptly

Qualification
|
Diploma in Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
|
Experience
|
Minimum two years’ experience in conducting economic research, data analysis, and report writing will be added advantage.
