Title Monitoring, Reporting & Verification (MRV) Specialist (Re-advertised)
Description The MRV Specialist is responsible for: • Support the implementation of the FDB M&E policy and GCF project reporting requirements as these relate to the implementation of the AgroPV Project in Ovalau and any additional future GCF financed projects. This includes in particular: o Regular monitoring of project indicators, safeguards indicators & action plans and other relevant risk indicators. Including collection and processing of respective data and information from project executing entities. o Elaboration and submission of Annual Performance Reports (APRs) as required by the GCF. Once submitted to the GCF and feedback from the GCF is received, ensure that the GCF feedback is followed up and implemented. o Elaboration of any other reports and information related to monitoring and evaluation that may be requested by the GCF or by the FDB M&E Policy. • Support mandatory reporting to the GCF as regards the FDB’s annual accreditation status updates, re-accreditation and accreditation upgrades. • Facilitate the planning and execution of mid-term and final project evaluations carried out by independent external evaluators as required in GCF funded projects and as regulated by the FDB M&E policy. • Support and facilitate the work of the FDB internal audit unit as regards audits of the AgroPV Project, other future GCF funded projects as well as other GCF related internal audits.
Qualification Master’s Degree in a relevant field (monitoring & evaluation , economics, business administration, development economics, political sciences, environment or climate change)
Experience • Experience in the MRV of donor funded projects • Knowledge of the GCF M&E procedures is considered an advantage • In addition, the following skills are required: interdisciplinary thinking, proactive work style, team integration, excellent communication skills, excellent command of English, relationship building, persuasive influencer and demonstrate ability to learn and grow on the job with little supervision.
