PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for all external reporting requirements.
• Prepare the monthly and quarterly claims to Ministry of Economy for interest subsidy on a timely basis.
• Prepare and compile the monthly, quarterly and yearly returns under the RBF Supervisory/Prudential guidelines and submit to RBF on or before the due dates.
• Prepare quarterly report for Bureau of Statistics.
• Assist the Team Leader Financial Accounting in compiling the Banks Annual Subsidy Submission to Ministry of Economy for an allocation under the National Budget.
2. Responsible for monitoring compliance to RBF prudential requirements in accordance with internal policy guidelines on approved benchmarks, tolerance levels and appetites and immediately highlighting trigger points/breaches to the Team Leader Financial Accounting or the Manager Finance.
3. Responsible for reporting of all financial transactions to Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) in accordance with FTR Act 2004.
• Thoroughly check and collect information on cash transaction above $10,000 and suspicious transaction.
• Analyze and prepare disclosure reports as required in the FTR Act.
• Maintain records of all reports made to the Financial Intelligence Unit and all enquiries relating to suspicious financial transactions.
4. Provides information, upon request of FIU or any law enforcement agency, on any investigation relating to a serious offence of money laundering or financing of terrorism through Manager Finance as and when required.
5. Ensure that the integration file from the subsidiary ledger (BMS) is posted to the general ledger daily.
6. Responsible for preparation and dissemination of the operating results for all Lending Officers.
• Review all Lending Officer’s operating result and attends to any adjustments journals.
• Distributes the operating results to all the lending officers in a timely manner.
• Provide financial data and other information to Centre Managers as and when required.
7. Prepares the write-off journals and PVA’s for all loan accounts at the end of every month as approved by the Board and maintains a bad debt register. Submits write-off reports to Ministry of Economy on an annual basis and as and when required.
8. Responsible for preparation of Establishment Fees reconciliations and raise necessary journals to recognize deferred revenue.
9. Responsible for preparation of VAT Return and Reconciliation with the general ledger and Statement of VAT account and, complete VAT return and ensures that it is paid before the end of the following month. These also include preparation of VAT return for sale of seized items where VAT is applicable.
10. Assist the Team Leader Financial Accounting in extracting data for any financial analysis and management reporting.
11. Prepare the Equity Investment Reconciliation and analyses the performance of respective investments for Management Information.
12. Contributes to drafting new accounting procedures, policies, and measures as necessary. This includes policies and procedures sufficient to deter and prevent the Bank from being used for money laundering and financing of terrorism and at the same time achieve compliance with the applicable requirements of the Act.
13. Provide awareness trainings to other Centers/Branches on policies and procedures relating to FTR Act and any other compliance requirements.
14. Assist with the dissemination of the six-monthly statements to customers when required.
15. Responsible for updating the Document Management System for filing and record keeping purposes.
16. Any other related duties assigned by the Team Leader Financial Accounting or Manager Finance.

Qualification
|
Degree in Accounting and Finance from a reputable tertiary institution.
|
Experience
|
At least 3 years’ experience in similar role.
