Title Manager Marketing & Business Development
Description PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Strategic Planning, Policy & Processes Strategic Plan a) Drive the analysis and formulation of the Bank’s Strategic Plan on a 3 yearly basis. b) Drive the Implementation of the strategic plan. c) Evaluation of the Bank’s strategic plan via monitoring and evaluating results of existing strategic plans to formulate and/or propose adjustments to develop the annual rolling plan to contribute to long-term sustainability, growth and profitability. d) Prepare and present the Strategic Plan performance quarterly updates to EXCO and ensure communication is relayed to Staff. Rolling Plan e) Drive the analysis and formulation of the Bank’s Annual Rolling Plan. f) Collaborates with EXCO and Managers to develop strategic goals for the Bank. Ensure high- quality internal and external Stakeholder Engagement in the strategic planning agenda. g) Identify and review market trends; analyse and apply this information in development of strategies for market segments. h) Monitor and evaluate existing organizational systems, operations, and policies to ensure that they abide by conventional and legal standards. This involves identifying, reviewing, and amending them where applicable to suit the required standards. Policy and Process i) Ensure EXCO is updated of changes in the economy, banking industry, development sector and impact of events on the business climate. j) Deliver relevant policy and process documents and advise EXCO of business impact of new/revised policies and guidelines in collaboration with other Teams in the Bank. k) Monitor, review and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our systems, process and policies. l) Policy development and review. m) Researching, planning, and implementing new business and new target market initiatives, program rollouts; based on results, recommend, and implement adjustments and modifications to strategies, policies and processes. n) Conduct policy, process and procedures reviews for continuous improvements. o) Collaborates with business units and line Managers to produce business and product plans that are profitable; evaluates these plans on a periodic basis. 2. Marketing and Business Development a) Drive the Analysis, Formulation, Implementation, and Evaluation of the Bank’s Marketing and Business Development plan to contribute to improvement in sales, growth and profitability. This is to involve: • Internal, external and competitor analysis; • Identification and implementation of key marketing strategies to ensure business growth. b) Plan, directs and oversees the design and delivery of a fully integrated Bank’s marketing activities to support all facets of the Bank’s operation. c) Defining and managing the Fiji Development Bank brand. d) Monitor business climate, trends in technology and development, and government activity in areas of the Bank’s current and anticipated product lines. e) Support lending centres business growth through development/editing of innovative financial solutions, services and appropriate marketing collateral material. f) Identify, create opportunities, develop and deliver effective marketing (product) communications strategies for the Bank. g) Develop and drive the execution of new and revised product initiatives. h) Drive product performance reviews for identification of product enhancements. i) Manage and implement the Bank's overall Business Development activities by building strategic partnerships and making business decisions in synergy with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualification A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Banking, Development Studies or related field.
Experience • Knowledge of Banking products and services • Strong communication skills. • Have an understanding on how to leverage technology as a competitive advantage tool. • Proven track record of success in Marketing, Business Development, Sales & Banking with at least 7 years of combined experience • The incumbent must reflect maturity, be able to lead a team to success, and possess good negotiation & relationship building/networking skills. • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task. • Excellent organizational skills. • Confident, driven and dynamic leader. • Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset with the ability to spot original branding & business growth opportunities.
