|
Team Leader Strategic Planning, Policy and Process
|
Description
|
Principal Responsibilities:
(1) Takes the lead role in the formulation of the Bank’s Strategic Plan. The task will involve formulation of
the Strategic Plan sub-committee, conducting a SWOT analysis, organizing the Strategic Planning
retreat, identifying and proposing strategies, action plan and measures and formulating the Strategic
Plan document.
(2) Undertake research, where and when necessary, on issues of strategic importance and relevance to the
implementation of the Bank’s Strategic Plan.
(3) Responsible for preparing the Strategic Planning Annual Rolling Plan and targets of each profit center.
(4) Responsible for preparation of timely (month after every quarter) performance appraisal reports
against Strategic Plan and Rolling Plan target for each profit center.
(5) Develop monitoring reports to track the progress across the respective General Managers Division
work plans in achieving the outcomes of the Strategic Plan.
(6) Co-ordinate and contribute to divisional and inter-divisional meetings to support determining how
divisions can achieve the strategic planning outcomes through collaborative meetings.
(7) Organize the Planning Conference to be held in March and ensure reports and summaries are
circulated by month end April or May.
(8) Closely liaises with the Business Risk, Relationship and Sales, ERM and IA team to identify the
weaknesses in the loan policies, processes and procedures and coordinates reviews for amendment and
process re-engineering to ensure highest level of customer service is maintained at all times.
(9) Evaluates and assists in improvement of loan process cycles from time to time to facilitate highest level
of service by the Bank.
(10) Formulates and documents new Policies and Procedures for the Bank and carries out amendments as
and when required.
(11) Redesigns and adopts services to meet broader customer requirements as identified by the Bank and
carries out analysis of existing portfolio. Assesses customer environment and identifies new and
improved services to meet current and anticipated requirements. Streamlines processes and policies of
products and services.
(12) Coordinates and formulate Management Information Reports (knowledge management) to provide
update on changes in the economy, banking industry, development sector and impact of events on the
business climate and incorporate relevant data trends into the reports.
(13) Coordinates the preparation of external presentations by preparing well-researched papers in a timely
manner for presentation locally and internationally.
(14) Organize and Coordinate the testing, drafting of head office circular and implementation of changes to
the Bank Management System following process re-engineering and new products. Must ensure system
changes are policy compliant.
(15) Assist Manager Marketing and Business Development in designing and implementation of knowledge
management (KM) strategy and framework for the Bank.
(16) Assist Manager Marketing and Business Development in formulating the units budgets, KPI’s and
PMR’s.

Qualification
|
Shall have a Degree or relevant qualification in Economics, Business Management (involving strategic planning), Statistics and/or Market Research. Relevant Business qualifications preferred but not essential.
|
Experience
|
Shall have at least 7 years’ experience in similar capacity. The incumbent must reflect maturity, be able to lead a team to success, and possess good research and negotiation skills. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, policy and process initiative and activities. Sound experience in Sales and Customer Relationships.
