Title Manager Asset Management Unit
Description 1. Develop appropriate strategies, workout plans, including liaison with borrowers, negotiate with potential purchasers and financiers, to recover NPLs under the delegated portfolio. 2. Communicate strategies and work out plans with Team Leader Asset Management & Recovery and Legal Officer. 3. Contribute to the enhancement of compliance policies and procedures while achieving the Unit’s objectives and targets in rehabilitating NPL accounts and supervise the NPL’s assigned and ensures that the conduct of each enterprise is in accordance with the Unit’s workout plan and deadlines. 4. Ensure close consultation with the network centres to ensure appropriate NPL accounts are transferred to AMD with mandatory pre-migration reports, attachments and certificate of approval. 5. Ensure that the bank’s allowances for credit loss are adequately provided for NPL portfolio as appropriate so as not to adversely impact the earnings of the Bank. 6. Ensure timely submission of EXCO, Board Credit Risk, Board Papers, Quarterly Reports, Top twenty (20) TIA reports, Top 20 mortgagee sale report, Top 20 legal action report and Top 20 sale of accounts under write off category. 7. Ensure all rehabilitated accounts are returned to the network after proper review for upgrading and due procedures followed on a timely manner. 8. Ensure bailiffs listing is maintained and current at all times and are engaged for service of recovery notices, court orders and ensure property protection whilst in the Bank’s custody. 9. In consultation with GMBRS appoint solicitors for complex legal matters either to challenge matters or to institute legal proceedings. 10. Supervise and manages the activities of the entire Asset Management Department.
Qualification Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Banking or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
Experience At least 5 year's experience in business and credit roles within a commercial/development banking environment with sound knowledge of legal and other external issues impacting the work out and recovery process for problem loans and investments.
Salary $55,968 - $83,952
