Title Team Leader Asset Management & Recovery
Description 1. To supervise the preparation of Demand and Seizure Notices and advertisement of seized items including real estate. 2. Act as the Secretary of the Head Office Tender Committee and ensure that minutes of meetings are properly compiled. 3. Ensures formalization and dissemination of Tender Committee decision, refund of Tender Deposit to unsuccessful Bidders, timely execution of Offer letter, Sales & Purchase Agreement and Transfer by successful Bidders to the Lending centres and other relevant parties in a timely manner through Tender Officer. 4. Ensure that Mortgagors are notified on the sale of their properties and advising them to exercise their right of redemption within next 14 days. 5. Assist Manager Asset Management Department in developing strategies to minimize losses to the bank from the NPL portfolio. Contribute to the enhancement of the process in achieving the centre’s broad objectives and targets. 6. In close consultation with the network centres ensure that appropriate NPL accounts are transferred to AMD with mandatory pre-migration reports, attachments and approval. 7. IN consultation with the Manager Asset Management, establish the most effective exit plan based on the action and the recommendation by the Lending unit. 8. Monitor NPL accounts with debt above $100K held by the Lending Units in order to assist Asset Management Officers for timely recovery and disposal of assets under its securities. 9. Assist respective Managers for timely recovery and disposal of assets under its securities 10. Ensure all rehabilitated accounts are returned to the network after proper review for upgrading and due procedures followed on a timely manner as well as identify new business opportunities from these rehabilitated accounts. 11. Ensure bailiffs are engaged for service of recovery notices, court orders and ensure property protection whilst in the Bank’s custody. 12. Ensure that all post write off recovery processes are carried out in keeping with the time lines and recovery policies ensuring the accuracy, integrity & validation of all data under the assets for sale; and all necessary information pertaining to the recovery of foreclosed assets of the Bank. 13. Facilitate request for Legal action from the network and maintain follow up between the Network and Bank’s Legal Officer while maintaining close liaison with the Tender Officer so that liquidation process is expedited thus; post recovery process such as legal means is pursued immediately thereafter. 14. Facilitate debt recovery through the Small Claims Tribunal for accounts with debt exposure less than or equal to $5000 and organize filing of Claim with SCT and service of claim by the Network on the client/respondent. 15. Arrange service of Writ of Summon/Bankruptcy Notice/Court Order and other Notices from Solicitors or Official Receivers Office and attend to all requests/queries made by Solicitors including collating of material for litigation matters. 16. Communicate effectively both in written & oral form to the members of the Unit, and to all parties who may inquire about matters concerning to account’s analysis and assessment of the risks and options taken are communicated succinctly to respective officers; to the Board Sub-committees and EXCO as and when required. 17. Must have the tact and diplomacy to handle adversarial situations that may arise with the Bank’s clients; Bank officers and Bank staff from other units bearing in mind the adverse nature of the role while complying with statutory and legal requirements and must be prepared to undertake other related duties assigned by Manager Asset Management or EXCO.
Qualification Degree in Accounting/Economics/Banking/Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
Experience At least 3-5 experience in lending, recovery and rehabilitation work with some legal background preferred.
Salary $45,410 - $68,115
