Title Business Analyst Finance & Administration
Description 1. Responsible for undertaking analysis of the financial statement including variance analysis and prepare a report on the result for Management information and decision. 2. Ensuring timely submission of variance reports for centre operating results by all divisions under Finance & Administration for General Manager Finance & Administration’s (GMFA) reference. 3. Undertake project analysis, compare and contrast options available for the Bank in terms of cost and benefits, developing forecasts with the options available and compiling report for Management decision. 4. Prepares Board and Executive (EXCO) papers for information and decision. This also includes monthly preparation of the report to the Board on the Key Result Areas (KRA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Bank. Prepares the Corporate Governance report for the Annual Report. 5. Undertake system evaluation, analysis and design followed by necessary reporting required to the management for the changes implemented. 6. Contribute to the preparation and review of Bank’s policies and procedures which includes the General Instructions, Accounting Instructions, Properties Manual. Also assist in the preparation of the Strategic Plan. 7. Attend and assist the Internal and External Auditors to ensure that the audit is completed in a timely manner by providing the information/data/documents requested. 8. Liaise with RBF, Ministry of Finance, Commercial Banks, FIRCA and other regulatory bodies as and when required. 9. Organise monthly Directors fees and sitting allowance and arrange venue, travel and accommodation for out of Suva meetings of the Directors. 10. Communicate with various departments of the Bank to gather and collate financial data and other information required for compilation of board reports, followed by dissemination and decision making. Submit Summary Financial performance report for the month to Public Relations to publish in Bank circular for staff information. 11. Preparation of Budget for the Office of GMFA and closely monitor the office expenses to ensure budget limits are maintained. Maintain proper correspondence and staff circular files for all issues reported to Office of GMFA. 12. Attend to the Senior Management’s request for the Bank’s financial performance evaluation and analysis to support in decision making. The position also assists in maintaining policies and procedures of the Bank’s accounting systems including computer systems. Assist with the review of existing policies, procedures and system in view of changes. Contributes to the development of new policy in line with the changes in the Bank’s structure. Significant changes in policy is reviewed and approved by EXCO. Assist with the management of IT equipment’s and networks. 13. Contributes to maintaining the internal control procedures and system. Assist with the review of the internal control procedures to ensure that there is no loopholes. 14. The Officer should further, be able to provide feedback on queries raised by the GMFA or the Senior Management in a diligent and timely manner.
Qualification Degree in Accounting & Financial Management. A member of the Fiji Institute of Accountants or equivalent
Experience Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and proficient in Microsoft excel and familiar with all computer systems that are used in the Bank. Displays good business acumen skills and attributes. Possess strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Works without supervision on all assignments. Skilled in report writing. Must exercise confidentiality in all issues. Highly motivated and organized, with strong work ethics and an inclination to work smart. Relevant Microsoft Accreditation and Certification will be added advantage.
Salary $36,450 - $54,678
