Title Marketing & Business Development Officer
Description PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing: 1. Perform market research to identify new businesses, segments, or groups of customers and channels that the Bank can develop sustainably. 2. Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, share and sales performance and other information that would impact the marketing and business development strategies. 3. Assist in the formulation of the Marketing Plan and Business Development Plan to achieve brand visibility, market share and profitability goals. 4. Formulate marketing content to promote the FDB Brand. 5. Project managing marketing events and evaluating their success. 6. Identifies areas of improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, promotional activities and overall strategy, propose and implement adjustments accordingly. 7. Assist in the development of new products and business opportunities. Business Development: 8. Explore and identify connections and business opportunities that will support the Bank’s need to increase market share and profitability by building strategic partnerships in synergy with internal and external stakeholders. 9. Increase business prospects by establishing linkages to our products and improving business partnerships. 10. Identify and map business strengths and customer needs (profiling). 11. Building the Bank’s presence in the community and improve networking through its participation and involvement in external stakeholder’s initiatives. Overall: 12. Ensures all Marketing Business Development activities are cost-effective and within Unit’s Marketing & Business Development budget. 13. Ensures all databases are updated in terms of prospective customers, competitor analysis and other market research information. 14. Timely submission of all reports to EXCO and Board of activities undertaken by the unit. 15. Monitor, evaluate all marketing and business development activities and make appropriate recommendations that will increase brand visibility, market share and profitability. 16. Ensures that the administration of the Government funded MSBG scheme is in accordance to the MOU.
Qualification A Degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Development Studies or Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the commercial environment with some knowledge of marketing and business development work. Past experience with external networking and engagement at national and international level will be an advantage.
Salary $30,124 - $45,186
